I, Preston, having been born of nerdy parents, am a total nerd and cannot help but entertain myself. I love my family. We are a bunch of nerds and we love it. My parents were the classic Mormon love story. They met at BYU, fell in love and got married. My older brother and I are following in their footsteps and are both at BYU. I also have a younger brother who is about to graduate and a younger sister who is finishing elementary school. My brothers and I tell her she is spoiled, but we know we have no one to blame but ourselves.
I was born in Utah, but raised in Meridian, Idaho. I graduated from Mountain View High School in 2019. In highschool I participated in band, doing marching band for four years and participating in a state solo-ensemble festival my senior year with a saxophone quartet. I was also able to participate in National Honor Society my junior and senior years. I warned you, I'm a nerd!
After I graduated high school, I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I served in the Philippines Quezon City North Mission speaking Tagalog. March 2020 I got pulled home due to COVID, so then I came here. I will return to the mission field May 2021. I hope to eventually return to the Philippines, but I have been temporarily reassigned to the West Virginia Charleston Mission.
I continue to enjoy making music. I play piano and saxophone. I was able to participate in the Cougar Marching Band and BYU's ROC Band for Women's Basketball this year. I also enjoy cooking and making stuffed dinosaurs. Jurassic Park ain't got nothin' on me.
